I have seen the creation of worlds.

The boiling of seas.

The tiny first flickering of suns.

I will be there when the earth opens up and spills its secrets to an uncaring void.

When the last breathing creature is but a distant blip on my timeline.

You, my friend, will be long gone.

Despite your arrogance, your misguided belief that you are above me.

In the end.

I come for you all.

Who comes for me?

Ah.

The eternal paradox.

I suppose, one day, when all life is gone and there's no hope of any emerging, I shall throw myself on my own sword…..

…. Metaphorically speaking.

Am I lonely?

How can I be.

I existed for eons before the first cell separated.

I existed for far longer alone than I ever did with company.

Look.

See how they scurry about their business.

Every ant, every fish, every bird, mouse, deer, lion and human, all filled with their own self importance, their own belief that their presence here makes a difference.

Can you imagine how they would think if they had lived even your short life span?

They would become mad.

Claw their own brains out with the thought of ever lasting life.

They'd reach the edge of consciousness and see nothing.

The void.

The blackness.

Not even black.

Just, an absence of being.

I have stood on the sun and found it burns cooler than the average human heart.

You did well really.

Such complex little creatures.

Such grand ideas they cultivate.

Their art.

Their food.

Their wars.

A highly entertaining interruption in my life.

Are you ready?

What name would you like me to use?

You seem to have so many.

Elohim?

Ehyeh?

Yaweh?

….. Or simply "I Am"?

We have danced a long time you and I.

But now it's time for you to bow out.

Me?

I have many, many more dances, many more partners to come.

Take my hand and well have one last dance.

And I shall take you on to your next existence myself.

Its time.

Goodbye, God.
