Hi there! First fanfic for me, so here goes. Review as much as you like, I take all criticism and comments. Anyways, enough of me talking. I don't own the Teen Titans.
The Common Room was dark, while the only source of light was the blinking lights on the console of the TV. The windows showed a magnificient view of the bay and beyond that, the lights of Jump City. The sun, being predictable, rose up in the east, casting an exquisite glow onto the Tower. Such radiant event happened on most days, if not all. But one empath knew that three hundred and sixty five days ago, that sun didn't rise, and had disappeared until the fall of Trigon, her father. Since then, she had never missed that beautiful sunrise, fearing that one day, it will be gone again, and her friends will be unable to bring it back.
Raven sat cross-legged on the edge, watching the sun rise above the horizon. With a sigh, she began her meditation.
"Hey Rae!"
Raven annoyingly opened her eyes and swiveled around only to find her green teammate standing there with a small box in his hands. His eyes darted from the ground to meet the empath's, only to shy away, blushing in the process.
"What is it Beast Boy?" Raven asked wearily.
"Well...uh...I...um...wanted to...uh...give you this. It's a present...from...uh...me." Beast Boy stutters. He slowly walks forward and kneels down to hand Raven the box. Raven takes the box with both hands and sets it down on her lap. It's a small dark blue box with a violet ribbon tied around it.
Beast Boy scrambles to get up and races though the rooftop door, leaving Raven alone to open her present. She delicately unties the ribbon and open the box, finding a silver bracelet with a raven charm. At the bottom of the box is a note which read,
Dear Raven,
The world is but a place for you to live in. Nothing can change the fact that we were brought together, it is fate as some may say. This team is my family as much as it is yours. So go on to continue not to laugh at my jokes, or threatening to send me to another dimension. But this I know that you know that the sun will rise everyday for as long as we live. So live today like any other day.
Yours truly,
Beast Boy
Raven looked up from the note. Her head was buzzing with emotion trying to burst out. With a careful hand, she slowly slipped the bracelet on her wrist.
It's beautiful.
Those words echoed within Raven's head. It seems that today was going to be a wonderful day.
So there you go! My first fanfic in a oneshot! Thanks y'all.
