"Music room number three… I think this is the place…" Kazumi gripped one of the fancy door handles she pulled the purple doors open with a tug and was briefly blinded by the light inside. She gasped and blinked a few times. She was surprised to see a room full of girls and only a couple boys milling around at tables with sweets and tea. She was honestly a little nervous; she'd never done anything like this before.
"Kazumi!" At the sound of her cousin's voice she immediately stepped inside, looking around for the reason she was even let into the school.
"Haru- chan!" She said, running up to Haruhi, the newest member of the host club. Entering part way through the year, Kazumi felt odd and out of place, she could see other girls looking at her strangely too. "My God! Look at you in a men's uniform! Just like uncle Ryouji!" Kazumi looked her brown eyed cousin up and down, only to be shoved away.
"Shush! Only the other hosts know my real gender." Haruhi made rapid motions with her hands. "I mean usually I wouldn't mind, but I really like the host club," Haruhi said louder, with a smile.
"I understand," Kazumi said before a lanky blond boy ran over to them,
"Haruhi, who is this? A new customer hoping to enjoy the host club?" The boy lowered his indigo eyes and put a hand on Kazumi's shoulder. "Welcome, my princess." Kazumi quickly pulled her shoulder away, not liking him touching her and being so sudden.
"Funny, I was about to ask the same question…" Kazumi said with a disturbed stare in Tamaki's direction. "Haruhi, who is this?"
"Tamaki, Kazumi; Kazumi, Tamaki." Haruhi said dully, gesturing between them. "Tamaki is the president of the host club, and Kazumi is my cousin." He said to the two, wanting to get introductions out of the way. "Kazumi just started coming here this term; she's in my class with Hikaru and Kaoru."
Tamaki bowed towards Kazumi and she relaxed a little, "But of course, a lady this beautiful could only be the blood of Haruhi. I can see the resemblance." Tamaki said, straightening up and giving his new friend a cool glance.
"I'm adopted." Kazumi said plainly, knowing a boy like this would be easy to mess with. Honestly she was the blood relative of Haruhi, her mother's brother's daughter. Kazumi watched as the blonde boy stopped in his tracks and stuttered for a moment. The look on his face was so funny, Kazumi laughed and even Haruhi chuckled. "I'm messing with you, thanks." She said with a smile, her teal eyes glimmering. "I think I'd like to get to know the rest of the hosts. Haruhi has a good taste in friends so I figure that's my best bet for fitting in around here." Kazumi looked from Haru to Tamaki and back to Haru again.
"I guess you'll just have to learn from coming here and spending time like our other guests." Tamaki said with a mischievous smile.
