Steve pressed up behind me, and slipped his arm across my waist. I grabbed his hand and looped my fingers through his. "Hey, Steve."

"Hey, Tasha." His breath was warm on my neck. "Did I wake you?"

"No, I've been waiting for you." I smiled as he buried his nose into my hair and breathed the scent in.

"You didn't have to do that," he murmured. "I'm glad you did though."

"Why's that?"

"Because I didn't want to go to sleep without hearing your voice. Did you just giggle?"

"What? No. I don't have that function."

"You did. You giggled." He turned me over and I spread my legs as he slid on top of me, peppering kisses along my neck.

This time I couldn't deny the giggle, because it tickled. "So maybe you were right."

"I knew I was." He stopped with the kisses and propped himself up. "How was your day?"

"Boring. I had to interrogate a drug overlord and he cracked too easily. I was home by noon."

"I wish I had been here when you got back."

"It's okay," I slipped my fingers into his hair. "How was your day?"

"Not super exciting." He sighed, "rescued hostages from a terrorist attack up North. Some guy had an entire building under lock down. He broke down in tears when I got there and gave himself up."

"Wow, you don't even have to do anything to get the guy."

"It makes my life a little boring." He dropped onto me causing me to laugh. "Am I too heavy?"

"No," I played with his hair as we were silent for a little bit.

"I'm sorry I didn't get home sooner."

"You're here now."

"Yeah, I know. I'm still sorry."

"Don't worry about it, it comes with our jobs."

He didn't respond, just raised up and kissed me softly. I smiled into it, as he deepened it. We weren't going to be sleeping anytime soon.
