The Spell of Shattered Sight had finally ended but not without tragic consequences. Ingrid's death had brought pain to Elsa, Anna and especially Emma. With the memories of Ingrid now back with Emma, she felt immense guilt and sadness, fully realizing what Ingrid was looking for all these years. Love. It hadn't been any different from what Emma had been looking for. If only Ingrid hadn't taken away those memories. She may have reacted differently towards her then.

"Emma?" Came a soft, hesitant voice.

Emma turned towards the sound of the voice. Anna stood in the doorway of her bedroom, unsure.

"Hi Anna" Emma said in a monotone voice, turning back around to stare out the window. At the snow. Ingrid's snow.

"I...I don't like seeing you upset. Especially since you are my sister's friend. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"

Emma shrugged.

There was silence and then a sigh. Emma felt her incoming presence and moved aside to let Anna sit down on her bed.

"I didn't know Ingrid well. Not the way you did. You were special to her, weren't you?"

Emma nodded. "Yeah. She was the first person that had been willing to adopt me. That showed any love towards me" Tears glistened in her eyes.

"What happened?" Anna asked before adding hastily, "If you don't mind telling me, that is"

"I ran" Emma said simply. "I ran because I was afraid. Afraid of her. She had shown me early on what I was capable of. But I didn't believe her. Magic? There was no such thing. No such thing as fairytales or happy endings. Not with me. So the possibility of that was crazy, you know? I remember her calling my name. She was heartbroken but I didn't turn around. I kept running because that was what I was used to. And now that's she's gone, I can't tell her how much she meant to me"

"You don't have to" Anna assured. "She knew"

"How do you know?" Emma asked.

Anna looked out the window, a distant gaze in her eyes as if remembering something from long ago. "Because a friend of mine once told me that some people are worth melting for. He was a snowman by the way but that's not important. What's important is knowing that Ingrid loved you. Loved you, me and Elsa"

Emma smiled slightly, wiping stray tears that fell.

"And she wouldn't want you to be sad right now" Anna added. "She would want you to be happy"

"You're right" Emma chuckled, blinking away the rest of the tears.

"So...do you wanna build a snowman?"

Emma looked at her with a bright smile and said, "Yes"

Anna squealed and grabbed her hand. "Great! Let's go get Elsa and build us a snowman!"
