A small, dark gray tabby she-cat padded across the moist grass. "Oh, please come.." She mumbled to herself.
The dark night was lit up by the twinkling stars of the night.
The gray tabby shook her pelt, worry filled her dark green eyes. She winced at another pain from her stomach. Oh, if only these kits weren't forbidden. The gray cat had a secret. Every half-moon, she went to Shimmer Lake. That was the small, pretty bed of water that devided StormClan and BreezeClan.
Now, if this secret was found out, there would be trouble.
And possible blood-shead.
That is why she was so careful about this. Approaching the shimmering pool, a deep voice came from the bush.
"Ashfeather?" It asked.
The cat perked up. "I'm here, Hawkblaze." She purred. A brown tabby stepped out from the shadows, his pelt shone in the moonlight.
"We don't have much time." He warned Ashfeather.
"How are the kits?" Hawkblaze asked, worriedly. Ashfeather smiled, "They're fine. I already have Tigerfang to cover as the father." Her purrs grew louder as her mate licked her. "I'll miss you.." He mumbled. "I will too. I love you, Hawkblaze." She rasped. "Don't ever forget that."
Hawkblaze nodded. "I won't. I love you, too."
At that moment, three cats climbed over the bush and hissed. "Ashfeather!" The largest tom glared at her.
"What are you doing with this BreezeClan tom? And, kits?!" He added angrily.
A black-and-white skinny she-cat stepped up. "Lets take her to Dawnstar. She will decide if we get to kill her."
The tom nodded and grabbed Ashfeather. Hawkblaze dared to stand up.
"Hey, leave her alone!"
The black-and-white she-cat and brown tom went after him.
"No, Browntail! Nightfoot! Please!"
Ashfeather screeched. The cats didn't listen, and attacked Hawkblaze. Browntail pinned him while Nightfoot scratched at his belly, blood trickled from the deep wound.
Browntail than bit down into his throat, ripping and slashing.
This, sadly, was to much for Hawkblaze.
Ashfeather teared up as her mate's life faded from his amber eyes.
"See what happens when you mate with another clan cat?" Nightfoot hissed in the gray she-cat's face.
She sadly turned her head away and went with the small group.
Poor, poor Ashfeather. Well, thats my shot lil' One-shot. Hope you liked it, tell me what you think! R&R! :D Hope it wasn't THAT bad.
