Hi! Guess what, my loyal fans. I was digging though some old stuff, and I found an old flashdrive from 2008. I wrote this story for an 8th grade writing assignment back then, which I aced. I figured that I should put it on here for sentimental reasons. I know that this appears different from my other works, but I was different back then. Tell me if I was a good writer back then. Review!
On the dry, scorching desert of Tatoonie, the young Sith, a warrior in his 20's, stood scanning the barren landscape in front of him. The nighttime sky, filled with twinkling stars, provided the needed light for Galen to search the horizon for Tursken Raiders, sand people who attack settlements to steal machinery to build transportation units. Galen, also known as Starkiller, leaped from his perch on the cliff, landing on the cushiony sand below. The desert planet of Tatoonie, located in the outer Rim Territories of the Galaxy, has been the home for an array of evil gangsters. Galen, while in Mos Espa, overheard in the marketplace that a ruthless creature of the night had been spotted flying from the scene of a murder. They called the creature Dracula.
FLASH! A zigzagged bolt of lightning lit the sky up like a light bulb in a pitch-black room. BOOM! The sound of thunder exploded like the blasting strike of percussion drums. The wind whipped through the sand, lifting the grains into Galen's eyes, which blinded him. Like pulverizing bullets from the sky, the rains strike Galen, which stung his body and sent him to the ground for shelter. He crawled in the sand, like a mole, searching with his hands for an entrance into the cave of the cliff. The young man looked around nervously. He cupped his hand over his Sith light-saber, ready for anything, but still felt scared.
All of a sudden, bats flew at him! Galen activated his light-saber and killed the bats. An enormous figure cloaked in brown rushed at him. Armed with a light-saber, Galen sliced the arm of the creature. "ERACH!" cried the Tursken Raider as he fell to the ground. Galen steps over the body, continuing his exploration of the cave. Time and again, he encounters Tursken Raiders, destroying them with his 3 feet long light-saber, a red glowing blade made of pure energy.
Passing through the damp, musty chambers of the cave, Galen eventually enters a large circular room. A blast of frigid air smacks Galen like a fist in the face. The scent of blood drifts through the room, entering his nostrils. A black-cloaked figure falls from the ceiling and hits the floor on his feet like a gymnast. Dracula mumbles in a low, calm voice, "The creature you are looking for is not here. Turn back!" Galen shouts, "You can't disguise yourself from me, Dracula. I know you by your teeth!"
Suddenly, Dracula, realizing that his true identity had been revealed, draws his light-saber and activates the sapphire-colored blade. Their swords clash in the shape of an X.
Sparks fly, filling up the cave with thousands of dancing lights. Twisting from left to right, they move about the cavern like bats flying through the night. Pouncing like a cheetah, Galen slices off Dracula's right hand which falls onto the floor with a sickening thump.
Galen calls Dracula's saber to his other hand. At the speed of light, Galen's light-saber cuts through Dracula's head, severing it from the rest of his body. With a lightning-fast swoop, he pierces Dracula's heart, ending the creature's horrible life. Quickly, Dracula's body crumbles to dust. With a sigh of relief, Galen calls the evil creature's light-saber to him. Flipping the switch, he places both light-sabers on his belt, deactivates their energy, and whispers to himself, "Another day's work completed. May the Force be with you!"
Was that any good? Let me know. Review!
