Old story revived. I hate it, it doesn't have a plot, at all. But it was the first ADJL story I wrote. And I didn't edit anything, it was the way it was when I wrote it. Haha.

So... Enjoy.

Disclaimer: Hello, does it look like I'm Jeff Goode?

Rose breathed in the cold night air and hugged herself tighter in attempt to keep herself warm. She looked down at her reflection on the water from the bridge she was standing on. Rose stared at the sad looking girl who stared back at her. As she looked down, she felt someone stop beside her.

"Hey, you okay?"

Rose smiled to Jake. "I'm fine. Thanks. What are you doing here?"

Jake grinned, "I was... patrolling the city."

"Oh, so you have to get back soon then," Rose looked disheartened as she said that. She really wanted to spend time with Jake, and she felt a hint of sadness because the reason why Jake was here was because he just thought he'd stop by.

Jake's warm laugh broke her train of thoughts. Rose couldn't help but smile as she heard him laugh. "What?"

"Girl, I wasn't patrolling the city." Jake's voice softened, "I was looking for you."

"Really?"

Jake smiled solemnly at her and turned towards the waters. "I really like the view here. It's beautiful," Rose said, breaking the silence that had hung between them.

"Yeah, you are," Jake grinned. Rose stared at Jake, an eyebrow raised before laughter broke. "A little corny there, honey."

Jake joined in the laughter as he joked, "Corny? Don't you mean sweet, sweetheart?"

Rose's voice softened, "Yeah, totally sweet..."

Jake stared at a smiling Rose and turned towards her. They leaned in towards each other. Just as their lips were about to touch, Jake's phone rang. He grunted as he fished his phone out. "Yeah, Fu? ... Now? ... Okay, I'm on it."

Jake turned to Rose. "I'm sorry, but duty calls."

"I understand. See you tomorrow then?"

Jake nodded and flew off after changing into his dragon form. Rose sighed and turned towards the waters, her eyes shut. Then she heard a soft thud and felt a warm hand that pulled her face quickly but softly sideways. Jake quickly kissed Rose, although to Rose, it felt long and perfect. His lips were as soft as snow, and as warm as the fire's glow. Rose smiled into the kiss. Jake pulled away and smiled the smile that warmed Rose's heart, before changing into his dragon form and flying off again.

Smiling, Rose stuffed her hands in her pockets and walked off into the cold winter night, feeling the warmth of her lips fill her entire body.
