This is my first Pet shop of Horrors fic and I hope you enjoy! Sorry for all grammar, vocab and spelling mistakes. Please review!

The light in Count D's pet shop dimmed then went out. The Count himself locked his front door and drew the thick white curtains over the windows. He said goodnight to the pets in his infamous shop which sold a range of animals from cats and dogs to man-eating rabbits and dragons. Count D navigated through the labyrinth to his own private courters and into his richly decorated bedroom.

Plopping down on his large four poster bed he heaved a sigh and put his feet up, saying goodnight to every pet in his shop was no small task. D finally summoned enough strength to climb of his monster of a bed and change into his night clothes. He was about to take of his skirt thing when he heard a noise like someone's frustrated banging on the front door.

Quickly righting his clothes he shot out of his room and made his way to the front of his shop. Once there he opened a curtain and peered nervously out of the ornate window. The noises outside became louder and the Chinese man was able to identify the thing outside as not an animal or something of the same ilk but as a certain blond detective.

'Oh for goodness sake,' D muttered under his breath as he irately chose the correct key from his robes and opened the door.

'Hi D I,' the detective began before the pet shop owner cut him off.

'Detective what are you doing here? It's,' here he glanced at the watch visible on Leon's wrist, '2:30 in the morning.'

The blonde haired man mumbled something under his breath, not meeting the Count's eyes. D 'harrumphed' but grabbed Leon's wrist and half pulled him half dragged him through his shop and into the living room. Sitting the detective on the plush sofa and busied himself in the kitchen making himself chamomile tea and black coffee for the blonde.

Placing the tray of beverages down on the coffee table he looked at Leon and waited for him to speak. D quickly gave up hope of this as Leon just stared noncommittally at his cup.

Sighing slightly he started, 'So my dear detective what do I owe the pleasure of having you at my pet shop in the middle of the night.'

'Well I was just gonna ask how you…how you,' D raised a delicate eyebrow while Leon tried to form a sentence while blushing profusely.

'How I?'

Mumbled something unintelligible under his breath and turned away.

'Please Detective spit it out I'm getting rather tired of your childish behaviour,' D said while sounding calmer than he was. Perhaps it was D calling Leon childish or something else but it got him to speak, if not more heatedly than was hoped. Humans and their moods.

'Well I'm sorry if I was embarrassed ok. I was just gonna ask you how you… felt about me there was nothing for you to get your skirt in a knot over jeez.'

'My dear detective,' D started, feeling rather embarrassed himself but pleased.

They both stared into each others eyes for a while, not sure what to do. It was D who moved first, shifting forward on the sofa until they were only a few centimetres apart. He placed a gentle kiss on the American's lips.

'Does that answer you question?' The seller of hope, love and dreams asked against Leon's soft lips.

They stood up together and D led Leon by the hand through the complex labyrinth behind the pet shop and into his luxurious bedroom.
