Chapter 1 Lily sat in the Gryffindor common room trying to do her work, tears trickling down her face. Most people had gone to bed. She sighed and started to clear away her things. The portrait swung open and James walked in as casual as anything. He saw Lily and rushed over to sit next to her on the couch. He put her arm round her but she shrugged it off. "Hey what's the matter?" "You are James. You left me, waiting, looking like an idiot for an hour. Actually you probably would have left me for longer but I figured that you weren't going to turn up." "Lily-" "Don't say you're sorry. Because you said that last time and if you had really meant it you wouldn't have forgotten again." She picked up her things and hurried to the girls dorm. James bashed his head against the table cursing himself. He HAD to make it up to her. He walked out the common room. When he reached the door to the girls dormitories he slumped to the floor, his back against the door and put his head in his hands. Lily sat with the other girls in her dorm but she didn't join in with their conversations. She was to wrapped up with her feelings for James. She wanted to break up with him because quite simply he was a rubbish boyfriend but she loved him and she wasn't ready to let him go to another girl. Lily sighed and pushed herself off her bed. She'd decided to give James one last chance. She opened the door to find James sitting in front of it. She put her hand in his hair. "Don't let me down James. Don't let yourself down either. You're getting one last chance so make sure it's worth it." James practically jumped up at this. "Don't you worry Lils. I'm not going to miss this chance!" Lily gave him a quick kiss. "Where are we meeting?" she whispered in his ear. "Well it's Hogsmede this weekend..." "I'll see you outside the three broomsticks at 12:00." "I'll be there." Lily smiled gave James another kiss and returned to her dorm. James was grinning like a maniac as he returned to his dorm.
