Fiyero, Boq, Glinda, and Elphaba were walking on the grounds of Shiz University on afternoon. It was a warm day, surprisingly, considering that the usual harsh and cold winters kept any sunlight from thawing the ground. They all had on multiple layers of clothes on to keep from freezing. They were headed towards the small town outside of Shiz's confinements. Fiyero and Boq were headed toward the local bar while Glinda and Elphaba were headed towards a small café.
"See you two later." Fiyero said as Boq waved goodbye to them. They walked away together talking about what exactly it was that Dr. Dillamond had lectured about today.
Elphaba turned her gaze towards Glinda, who returned it. She gave Glinda a small, bashful smile while blushing slightly. She held her hand out. Glinda grinned at Elphaba and intertwined their fingers. She looks so cute when she blushes... Glinda thought. "Glin, I-" "I love you Elphie." At this Elphie had a huge goofy grin on her face and blushed furiously.
Glinda started to sing.
Live in my house, I'll be your shelter.
Just pay me back with one thousand kisses.

Elphie cut in.
Open your door; I'll be your tenant.
Don't have much baggage to lay at your feet.

Glinda joined in singing with Elphaba.
I think they meant it,

Now I know you can rent it.

They were facing each other holding hands. Elphie spun Glinda around once, then picked her up and spun her around. They continued to sing.
Just slip me on; I'll be your blanket.
Wherever, whatever I'll be your coat.
They were walking by a street vendor who was selling coats and jackets. Glinda stopped and pulled out a long, black cape. She put it around Elphaba's shoulders. She, in turn, wiggled around in it and flashed a broad smile. Glinda paid the vendor for their purchase. Elphie took Glinda's hand in her own. Glinda looked at her and sang.
You'll be my queen, and I'll be your castle.
Elphie kissed Glinda's hand and sang.
No, you'll be my queen, and I'll be your moat.
Together they sang.
I think they meant it when they said you can't buy love.
Now I know you can rent it- a new lease you are my love.
On life. All my life.
They ran down the street hand in hand.
I've longed to discover something as true as this is.
They stopped running and Elphaba wrapped an arm around Glinda's waist. Glinda put her hand on Elphaba's shoulder. They clasped their free hands. They swayed back and forth. Elphie sang with Glinda.

Elphie spun Glinda around. Then Glinda sang with her.

While still dancing, they sang together.

Elphie had wrapped her arms around Glinda's waist. And Glinda had wrapped her arms around Elphie's neck. Their lips met for a slow, soft kiss. When they reluctantly pulled away, they looked at each other and smiled.
