Author Note: This was mildly inspired by the Season 2 Stargate: Atlantis episode "Conversion". That may not mean anything to you so I'll just say this: Sheppard turned into a human/bug hybrid and apparently thought Teyla's lips looked juicy at the time. Hehe.
it's all in fun, really...
Veritaserum
He had been feeling odd since Slughorn had instructed them to drink a goblet of the potion. It had simply been Veritaserum as brewed by the students themselves.
That had been four hours ago.
Up until now he had experienced an inability to lie but it was now somewhat different. He felt ravenous and he was yearning for something that was not within reach. He wasn't even sure what it was.
He ran hands over his face and was startled to feel the texture was different. He was moderately scaly.
Jumping from the chair urgently, he faced the mirror and saw to his horror a human being that did not completely resemble his usual reflection. Although the majority of his features remained unchanged, along his neck two thin lines of blue, ridged skin had formed and as he continued to watch his reflection, the mutation slowly moved up to grow on his face.
His eyes had turned an eerie green.
Quickly, he grabbed his wand and hurtled from the room, heading straight for Slughorn's office.
Reachign it, he knocked hurriedly, trying hard to calm himself when the door swung open and he was face to face with the large Potion's professor.
"Ah, Draco," Slughorn said kindly with a small nod of acknowledgement. "I've just had to fixed Hermione up, also."
Draco looked past the man to the interior of the room where Hermione Granger stood tentatively feeling her face.
The yearning within his gut churned with need and he pushed past Slughorn fiercely before aggressively grabbing Hermione by the shoulders and guiding her abruptly into a wall.
"Malfoy – " she gasped in surprise.
Draco grabbed her face and trapped her mouth with his, kissing her hard and passionately.
Her hands rose to his face as her eyes widened. With a slight push she made him draw back.
He merely stared at her a moment before frowning in a confused manner.
"I'm not quite sure what just happened…"
"That, Draco, was the effects of an extremely over-brewed Veritaserum," Slughorn explained as he grabbed Draco's shoulder and pulled him gently away from a shocked and speechless Hermione. "The effects vary but in most cases it causes slight mutation, a limited amount of control and the exposure of truths that even the entity may not even realise is true."
Draco gulped and looked back at Hermione who still stood against the wall, her eyes wide with confusion and her mouth gaping wordlessly.
No … surely not…
He couldn't possibly want Granger?
