When they came together it was the stuff that movies are made of. The stuff that most of us, have only known to exist in various forms of entertainment. Sparks flew and the heavens collided. Even though they tried to keep it a secret, their efforts proved to be futile. There was no way the they could keep it a secret. Especially from their closest friends. They could read it in their eyes, in the subtle change of their body language. And soon the lovers did not want to hide it anymore. They wanted to share it with the world. They wanted to let everyone know that they had found love and happiness and that they had found each other. They spoke of forever, and everlasting love. They contemplated marriage, and planned for children. Previous fears had been demolished, replaced with only love trust and utter contentment. From the outside looking in, you could almost see the love and admiration flowing through them. Like a rope twining their hearts and lives together. One could not help but be envious, or at the very least hopeful that we could one day find what they had. If bets had to be made, they would be the couple that people would bet on never breaking up. They had found what the rest of us are eternally searching for, they had discovered the secret.
But, as any rational person knows, not all movies have a happy ending. All songs are not perfect. Often the ones that start out with the most love, end with the most hate. Because unfortunately in a world of uncertainties, there is but one thing that we can be certain. Said so well by the wonderfully talented Axl Rose. Nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain.
