Serena point of view
I woke up when we landed I was still really tired but I forced myself to get up. My manager Jill and I walked out to the car LME had sent us. Jill said, "Serena if your still tired you can sleep till you get there I will wake you up." Serena drifted off to sleep.
I saw a large figure walking toward my family. He had a knife. He told us to hand over all the money we had and as we started to he saw me and told my parents to give me to him. My father pushed my mother and me behind him. My father tried to fight him he punched him in the jaw and got his arm slashed by the knife skillfully gripped in the stranger's hand. I was terrified I was hiding behind my mother but I could still here what was happening. My father punched him hard and broke his nose. The assailant dropped his knife when he had gotten punched. He slowly backed away and I peeked out from behind my mother I was so happy it was finally over, but right when I thought that the man pulled out a gun and shot 2 shots. One hit my father and the other my mother.
I screamed and started to run but he grabbed me. Then I saw the knife next to my foot. I grabbed it and plunged it into his heart. I had killed a man when I was 11 years old. I didn't know what to do after that so I just ran away. I didn't have any close family and I thought I would be thrown in jail for killing the man.
I ended up living I the streets roaming from town to town. I had to toughen up or I would have been killed so I put up a hard wall around my emotions. There was only one person who was my friend he was like an older brother to me. His name was Kuon Hizuri. I stayed near him for a month. It was way longer than I had ever stayed in a town, but in the end I had to leave because adults eventually notice when a kid is alone. One came up to me one day and asked me where my parents were but I told him that they were out shopping and would be right back. Luckily he left. I left that night and left a good-bye note to Kuon. I was alone again.
I was all alone with nothing but my sadness. One night I couldn't sleep and I started singing the lullaby my mother always sang to me. Out of nowhere a women comes and asked me if I wanted to be a singer and where my parents were. I told her I had none. I don't know why I told her the truth no one knew I was alone not even Kuon, Her name was Jill now she is the closest thing I have to family.
I awoke with a start as Jill gently nudged me awake. We had arrived at LME.
