A/N: Silly little one shot that may or may not be based on a recent experience...

The hot water was relaxing. Standing under the steady stream of water, she finally made herself move and begin washing. She had to get to work and hated being late. Grabbing the bar of soap, she lathered it up and slowly washed her body. Rinsing her hands, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Still staring at it, she heard the bedroom door close.
"Tobias, are you in here?"
"Yeah, what do you need?"
Sliding the shower door open, she shoved her hand toward him as he walked into the bathroom. "Look at that."
He looked at the single gray hair that she handed him. "It's a gray hair."
Scowling at him, she stated, "I know it's a gray hair. But I've never seen a gray hair like that before."
"I'm mean you're almost fif…" At the hardening of her eyes, he quickly corrected himself. "You're in your mid-forties. Gray hairs come with the territory."
"I knew that I would get gray hair when I aged so that isn't a surprise. My hair has been turning gray for years." She examined the gray hair in question again. Shaking her head, she blurts out, "I just never considered that my pubes would turn gray too!"
At that he really, really tried not to laugh. Tried to hold his face in a neutral expression. His body though betrayed him and his mouth started to quirk upward. She saw the beginning of a smile on his face and her defense mechanisms kicked in. "You've seen them before haven't you?"
"What, no! The last thing I'm paying attention to if I'm in that area is the color of your pubic hair." He then gets a thoughtful look on his face. Rubbing his short beard, he continued, "I know I have gray beard hair, and honestly that hair is the same as, you know, down there. If I saw a gray hair, I would assume it was from my beard. Have you noticed any on me?"
Smirking a little, she answers, "No, I haven't."
Turning the water off and reaching for a towel a thoughtful expression graced her face. "You want to check each other for gray hairs tonight?"
A/N: As always, reviews are appreciated!
