I walked along the dark beach, looking for him. It had been almost two hours, and he hadn't returned. He can be... a little bone-headed, so I had to keep track of him. I also had to watch his every move, except for the bathroom (not aloud in there).
He had promised to come right back: a trip to the super market and back to my place with Riku and me. The super market was only five minutes walk, so when he didn't show up for an hour, we got worried. Riku looked over the main island while I took the play one.
The night sky was pitch black excluding the stars - the other worlds. If he hadn't of saved them, then we wouldn't be here right now. I've got to give him props for that.
The night sky blinded me, I could barley see two inches in front of me. Luckily, I had brotten a flashlight. I took it out and turned it on. THe light was bright enough for me to see the back end of the beach.
'He could be in the secret place...' I thought, so I waltzed over to that spot.
The space was just big enough for me to fit. I had come here so many times during their absense, and yet, I had forgotten all about him. It was sad, really. I made it into the rocky area. The rock walls were just covered with drawings that he and I made. The one were we drew each other's faces, and sharing the paopu fruit - that was still here. But, sadly, no one was there. I exited the secret place and looked around for a bit.
'Maybe he's in the back of the island.' I thought reassuringly. I crossed over the beach, under the bridge, and opened the wooden door.
The back was like she remembered it: the wooden pillars with one brokken one; the giant tower that over-looked the back of the island; the dozens of trees that he and Riku would race across; and the star imprint on the side of the wall.
I climbed up the ladder that led to the tower. It was a nice climb, especially when you have a flashlight in your mouth. I reached the top of the tower and, with the help of the flashlight, looked around for him. The pillars, the trees, the star imprint - nowhere. Though, somehow, the raft was still there.
I sighed, and climbed back down the ladder. By then, rain had started dropping suddenly. Now it was dark, cold, AND wet. I groaned in frustration, and quickly made my way to the other side of the beach.
'Okay... I checked the secret place and the back of the island' I thouht as I opened the door, 'and he wasn't in either one, so that just leaves the beach itself, the little island, and the hut.'
I decided to check the beach. Why? Because that's where he was snoozing before we got separated. I walked along the beach, hoping to find him. But I ran the entire beach, and I never found him.
'This is getting ridiculous!' I thought, 'Why would he be over here, anyway?' With still two places to look, I went over on the little island, where me, him, and Riku were to the evening before we left. The only way I could check the island was to go in the hut. So, I went in the hut.
And, sure enough, guess who I saw.
"Sora!"
"Hey, Kairi!"
"Where were you?!"
"I was just taking the scenic route back."
"FOR 2 HOURS?!"
"Uh... is that how long it was?"
"For Pete's sake, you had us worried like crazy!"
"Uh... sorry?"
"You're gonna have to do better than that."
"Hmm... uh... um... that's a tough one." I slapped my forehead.
"C'mon, we're going back now."
I grabbed him by his hair, and literaly dragged him out of the hut, while screaming in pain.
