Disclaimer: I do not own Bakuman

Fukuda banged the door shut and entered his silent room. His fingers reached out to the switch next the door, light illuminated the one-room house. No one was home, no one was ever home. He walked straight to his mini kitchen to boil some hot water and grabbed a cup of his usual ramen. Now, gotta wait for three minutes.

Everyone in –the current– Team Fukuda were all successful mangakas. The genius Eiji was nothing to be mentioned of. Everyone knew of his fame since the very beginning and he's still working on Zombie Gun which had been going on for years along with an anime adaptation. The hardworking duo Ashiguri Muto were also something to be feared of as rivals. They climbed up the ladder and battled side by side with the genius head on and fulfilled their dreams. Both Hiramaru and Aoki married and both of them drew even more mangas for everyone to read. Iwase still didn't give up in this manga world, but she wrote novels in her free time which were also a big hit. Fukuda himself was also successful with his Road Racer Giri, he could even afford a mansion, but he was too fond of the small sized room where he lived throughout all those precious years.

Time's up! He fixed his white watch cap on his head then dug mercilessly into his ramen but was interrupt by an incoming call from his cell phone, Aoki. "What's up? It's quite rare of you to call me."

"I was just wondering if you are doing well."

"Apart from you calling me when eating, everything's fine," he joked then took another slurp of noodles.

"Oh, sorry about that," her tone was clearly sarcastic which made Fukuda grin.

"Hey, Aoki-san. Congrats on getting 'New Love' serialized. Although Hiramaru-san's 'Happy Family' was kinda out of character for him." Even though she changed her family name to Hiramaru, all members in the Team still called her by Aoki-san with both the bride and groom's permission.

Aoki made a small laugh, "Thank you. These days Kazu-tan just looks so happy." The silver hair could hear the screaming voice 'Yuri-tan' in the background. Well, he figured pretty much. "You're the only man left who isn't married. I hope you're not lonely," to his surprise, her voice was actually sincere. She's worried about me… he lowered down his watch cap to hide his embarrassed face out of instinct even though they were talking through the phone. I'm so uncool…

"Don't you go bad mouthing people otherwise I'll actually stay single forever."

"Now look who's lecturing me about bad mouthing."

"I may as well marry my own manga," Fukuda placed down his chopsticks to hug his dear mangas in the room. "Um…"

"Yes?"

"Nothing," he brushed off the topic. How could anyone in the right mind confess to a married woman? "I wish you guys the best. I gotta go now, work's piling."

"I wish you the best too," then she hung up.

Fukuda stood up to clean off his remains of dinner.

I guess this is what they meant by 'Unrequited Love'…

A/N:

Thank you very much for reading. I hope the characters weren't too much OOC and I'm sorry if I portrayed Fukuda's room wrongly.

Bakuman just ruled out my life with it's awesomeness. I caught up with the anime+finished reading the manga in less than a week and just have to write something down.
