The Beginning

Lily walked down the street, not really sure of anything anymore. I mean she was 18 her mother just died, she now has to take care of her little sister and her mother just told her that she is part vampire. She didn't even know that vampires existed. She just thought it was some made up story that this guy had started to just make an impact, but no they were real and she was one. How messed it that. Then her mother hands her this ring that she told her to give to her one true love so they can live a semi normal life in the daylight. So what now her mother is a seer. Well it would certainly explain how she knew absolutely everything that goes on in her two daughters lives. For example the time she was behind Lilah, her little sister, and ready to administer the Heimlich maneuver before she had even taken a bite of her food. Then the whole thing about knowing who was calling before the phone even rang. How creepy was that, but she had never really noticed it before. Or if she had she had not really cared. I mean what 18 year old actually monitors their parent's behavior. Not Lily. Of course now she wished she had paid a little more attention. Then maybe, just maybe it would make that thought of having to raise a child a little easier.
So Lily walked for another hour or so just thinking this over and over and trying to figure out what to do, when all of a sudden someone popped out at her. Lily didn't scream or jump or anything like that because for some reason she knew that the man was there. But I guess you want to know what she did. Well like I said the man jumped out at her so Lily just punched in the nose. No hesitation no nothing just jump pop and he was down on the ground nearly on tears.
"Great job" he told her as he stood back up.
"Thanks Wilson. Oh and thanks for not telling me that I am part vampire and a slayer in training" Lily said as she glares evilly at him. If looks could kill he would have been dead 20 seconds ago.
"Yes well you can't exactly blame this on me. It was your mother after all who told me not to tell you the real reason I was training you. In fact we were kind of wishing that you wouldn't get chosen so that you could live a normal life." Wilson desperately tried to explain. Her mother and him really had no idea if the girl would be chosen or not. They were more focused on training her so if she was chosen she would be ready and if she wasn't she would be able to defend herself in any situation.
The watchers council had identified her as a slayer in waiting before she was even conceived. They told the mother that if she had a daughter she could be the next chosen one. So from the time she was born she had been trained. She could walk before age one and talk before two. She was amazingly advanced and it was believed to be that she would the next slayer, only she was never called.
"Oh bugger off you wanker" Lily told him as she pushed him to the ground, hard. She no longer cared about him because he had lied to her and as far as she was concerned this was the end of her training.
