Oedipus Rex
I never thought of myself waking up in a luxurious bed to be awaken and be bought to the new king, Oedipus, who in return will help my people. I get dressed and look at myself with brown hair and brown hair with beautiful pink lips.
I see Catherine, my wife, getting out of her room; she is always beautiful with her auburn hair, full pink lips, and brown eyes. Catherine that is my lover and advisor is their waiting for me with the king and is asking of our help.
"My lord the one that is going to help remove the curse from this wretched town and my hopes are on you." I said and bowed down to him like he deserves.
"My honors are to you, my king and it would be a pleasure to help you in what you need." My beloved, Catherine, said and curtsied to him.
"My king what is of your need?" after a long time of silence.
"Yes, I need your help to find the killer from the former king Lauis and take away the curse from this country. Will you help me?" Oedipus said and questioned us, his people.
"Of course, my king." My Catherine said and I, it was one of my pleasures to help since he is the one helping this city. My mouth was forming a smile because it was a honor to help the king.
"I thought you wouldn't help because I am new king but I feel honored to be assisted by you." Oedipus said sincerely.
"Why wouldn't we, we are you people after all." I answered.
"What is you name you are called by?" Oedipus said.
"I am Stephan Salvatore and my beloved Catherine Kingsley of Bellefonte, and we would have the glory to help you." I said in a good voice.
"Thanks for your help and I want to know how to get rid of this curse that feel upon the city of Thebes and how can I make the people happy and untroubled." The King said.
"For you to do that we first have to find the murderer of the former king and exile them from this land." Catherine said.
"Alright, thanks for your words and your gratitude." Oedipus said and he sounded pleased that we would help him to find the murder.
"Can I go now since I haven't had enough sleep." I said not trying to sound annoyed, since I got that beautiful bed.
"You may go and have your rest for tomorrow's conquest to find the murder." Oedipus said, sounding joyful and happy.
"Thanks your majesty," I said and meant it when I said it and my wife sounds proud that I'm helping with something and we both curtsied in unison.
Before we went in our bedrooms, I gave my wife a goodnight kiss and sent her to her room.
I couldn't go to sleep, thinking aimlessly who killed the former king and how many clues we can to find to get the killer and to find the survivor who see everything.
I wish it wasn't this difficult because then I would have time with Catherine and getting a family and not finding a killer, but is life ever easy and fair no its not.
Ugh…, I wish life wasn't so hard to begin with.
