Funny Little Heart-Shaped Things
Ron Weasley had a terrible, life-threatening problem. It was glaring him right in the face, and it needed to be solved now.
He was most certainly unprepared for his History of Magic test, which was coming up in only a few minutes. He had not done any of the homework, he hadn't studied for it yesterday, he hadn't paid attention in class, and he hadn't even remembered the test existed until a few minutes ago.
A possible solution was sitting right across from him, separated only by a table piled high with breakfast foods. Hermione Granger, head buried in the Daily Prophet, seeming oblivious to Ron's imminent doom.
Of course her History of Magic notes would be excellent, and would surely assist him in scraping by. But last time Ron had asked her to borrow her notes, she had gotten angry with him, ranting and lecturing about how he needed to learn responsibility and that he wouldn't always be able to depend on her, and does he even use that homework planner she got him?
The thing was, Ron rather liked it when she was angry with him. It was the way that she would always shout his full name at him. He had no idea why, but hearing her say it gave him the best feeling in the world.
But Ron didn't have time for a fight this morning, so asking her to borrow them was out of the question. The minutes until the test were whizzing by, and he to do something, fast.
As it were, a small bit of luck was with Ron that morning. Hermione leaned towards Parvati, having a seemingly in-depth conversation, and her back turned away from him completely. She didn't notice a thing when Ron slid her school bag towards him from under the table and rummaged around in it until he found her notes.
The notes looked normal enough, going on for pages longer then they ought to, but then Ron noticed funny little heart-shaped things around the margins.
He brought the paper closer to his face to read the tiny print. He was shocked to find that inside the hearts, Hermione had written things like "Mrs. Hermione Weasley" and "Ms. Hermione Granger-Weasley, MD."
Ron stopped after reading only a couple, feeling that it was indecent to look at them any longer. He tried to read over the notes, but his mind wasn't working properly. He couldn't push what he had read in the hearts out of his mind. He was shocked by the fact that Hermione hadn't been paying complete attention in History of Magic. He was even more shocked, and a bit nauseated, by the revelation that she was in love with one of his brothers!
A/N: Just some fluff. I don't know where this came from, or why I actually wrote it down. Oh Ron, you can be so thick. Reviews anyone?
