Author's Note: River says November 2012 because her timeline goes at different rate/order than the Doctor's and the Pond/Williams' timelines and the Daleks were able to change the timeline easily. This is my clarification sorry for the confusion!

"Doctor why are you gone?" I sobbed.
"Mum get over it," River said, "He's not really gone."
"Really?" asked Rory, "Is this like Utah all over again?"
"Pretty much," said River, "The Te have befriended him and they help him out in times of need,"
"Then where is he?" I asked, tackling River.
"Going back in time to stop the Dalek takeover of the world," she said.
"How did it happen?" Rory asked.
"Well, it all started back in November of 2012 with the U.S. Presidential Election," River said, "The ballots were in and the current president was the favorite to win. But the opponent, Mitt Romney, pulled out all the stops when the results were announced. The current president was re-elected and that is when Romney revealed he had connections with an alien race. He then contacted the Daleks and they swooped in and completely killed everyone in the U.S. capitol and quickly wiped out the U.S. population, following with Canada and then the rest of the world."
"Whoa," I said.
"I'm not finished," River said
"Continue then,"
"The Doctor discovered a weak point in time when Romney made the contact and is going to stop him from contacting them since it turns out he is an alien. If he can do that, time will correct itself. Also, this trip was really a rouse to trick the Daleks into thinking he's dead since these are actually ones from the past which attack the capitol, so they won't be expecting the Doctor to show up."
"So we won't be in jail?" asked Rory.
"If it all goes well then no," replied River.
"Let's hope it all goes well then," I said
