First chapter:
Luffy is sitting in the living room playing GTA5. He just can't understand why he's dying all the time... Ace bought him a copy because Luffy wanted the game no matter what. He can't ask for Ace's help because he's repairing his motorcycle in the garage below.
Both Makino-san and Dadan were in the bar and Shanks is at work. Not that he could ask for their help either. They don't understand why Luffy likes this game so much. Luffy noticed the picture in the corner of the room. It was him together with Sabo and Ace. They were still little back then. Luffy was only seven years old and it was their first trip together with Shanks and Makino. Since that day they decided to go on a trip every year. This year they're going to have a picnic with everyone. Luffy's dad and grandpa are invited too. Sabo's parents didn't want to come for certain reasons, but Sabo doesn't want to tell Luffy what happened. Sabo is in his own room making a cover for the song: I see fire from Ed Sheeran. He's been a little quiet lately. Woop Slap is coming too. Luffy always calls him 'Chief' because he's always bossing around.
Luffy turns the game off and walks to the kitchen. He looks in the fridge for food and takes some sandwiches. After that, he takes his phone from the dining table and puts it in his pocket. With one sandwich in his mouth he runs to the garage. The garage lies right under the house. The house they live in has several floors and the garage is on the lowest floor. Luffy runs out of the front door and opens the door that leads to the garage right next to it. He walks down a staircase and sees Ace bent over a car he's fixing together with Marco and Thatch. It's Ace's most favorite hobby and all three of them spend almost every day in the garage fixing cars, give cars new looks, repair motorcycles and so on. They do this as a part-time job to earn some money. What Luffy doesn't know is that both Ace and Sabo are saving money for Luffy. Everyone hopes Luffy graduates this year, so the three brothers can go on a vacation in the summer.
Luffy sits down on a chair behind a messy desk and eats his other sandwich. ''Oi Luffy! That's for the picnic this weekend! Why are you eating it? I even did my best in making them.'' Ace says with an irritated voice.
''Are.. That's why they don't taste that good! No one can compare to Sanji's food after all shishishi.'' Luffy finishes his sandwiches in one go.
''Sanji? The new waiter in the bar? well, anything better than that old hag's food..'' Ace is talking about Dadan. She's been around ever since Makino opened the bar and she used to look after the boys a lot when they were not old enough to stay alone at home. The brothers never liked her that much, though secretly, everyone knows how much Dadan cares about them.
''Ace! Let's go fishing! I'm bored and I die all the time in GTA..'' He balances on two of the chair's legs.
''Luffy.. Do you know how to use the controllers?''
''Ah.. I see...Those controllers are mysterious..'' Luffy tries to look serious, but Ace knows him too well. ''There is no helping you, is there? Anyway, let's go do some errands, since you ate all the food for the picnic!'' He takes a towel that's been attached to his belt and wipes off the oil on his hands.
Luffy gets excited and runs upstairs calling after Ace. '' Hurry up, Ace! ''
Ace takes a deep breath. '' That guy never changes. '' He throws the towel on the desk and walks upstairs following Luffy.
