Dick threw his bag onto the bed and switched on the computer. A message window popped up and Bruce Wayne could be seen on the screen.

"Hey son I was wondering if I could call in a favour for this Saturday." He asked as casually as possible.

"Why? What's so special this Saturday?" Dick replied, puzzled.

"Well if you checked your calendar you would see that it's going to be Valentines Day. Anyways I was hoping you could keep Diana--." Bruce had been away for the past two months in Europe, being the businessman he was.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He said in a dismissive tone.

"But you didn't even hear what I said--"

It was too late. Dick had already been distracted by thoughts of what to get Kori for Valentine's Day and had switched off the computer.

"Alfred! I'm going out to get some craft supplies!"

"Vic I don't even know if she likes me."

"Nonsense, of course she does, you two love birds are just so blind."

As if right on queue Kori walked in.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Kori, as a matter a fact Dick and I were just talking about you—" Dick nudged Vic, hard.

"What was that?" Kori turned around to find them grinning like idiots.

"Oh nothing." Vic said through his teeth while rubbing his arm.

Dick walked into the classroom with his valentine's card in hand. Only Kori was left inside and this was the perfect opportunity. She would finally be his. Dick was about to say something when he saw Kori pull out a few boxes wrapped in hearts.

"Oh Great." She said, in a disappointed tone. As if the sight of those gifts weren't enough to bear. He crumpled up his card and it hit the floor. Dick quickly escaped the room.

To think I was stupid enough to think a simple card would impress her. Way to go Richard Grayson. You have just proved yourself as the dumbest guy on earth.

Kori walked up to Dick.

"Loved the card. It was really sweet." She giggled as she gave him a light peck on the lips. Then Kori walked away, leaving Dick completely dumbfounded.
