Damn you
We all thought you were so strong
You came out of every situation
Stubbornly alive
So how can it be
That memories got you in the end?
Memories
Mere fragments of the past
Killed the lunkhead who refused to die
You had a future
The Bebop, Jet
That damn kid and dog
...and me...
I could have been what she never was
Your here and now
Not shadows of a deadly past
Did you never realize
That she was your past
...and I was your future...
But you threw it all away
For her
For a release
That you could have found in my arms
Did you not see
Or did you just not care?
You found a way out of your pain
Left it all behind
But you didn't seem to comprehend
How much more pain you would leave in your wake
I blame her
I blame you
I blame myself
For not stopping you
For being too proud
To let you know what was really in my heart
I thought you'd come back
You always had before
But now you're gone...
...and I don't know what to do...
You fool...
Couldn't you see I loved you?
She was your shadow of the past
...and now you're mine
