"It's been a while. A good long while, Sora…"
A young, silver-haired man kneeled down at an old, slightly worn away gravestone. A single tear ran down his pale cheek. He wiped it away.
"Why…"
He could still hear Sora's voice.
Riku, please, go on without me. But don't forget: I did this for you. Keep your light burning strong. And protect Kairi. Just don't forget…
Riku stared blankly at the gravestone, another tear running down his cheek. He felt so numb. All he could think about was how Sora had saved him, giving up his life. Such a selfless act.
Riku felt his throat tightening. His long silver hair fell in front of his face as he stared at the ground beneath him, tears falling from his eyes.
"Sora…"
Suddenly Riku felt something cold on his neck. Then he realized that the sky was dark and it was raining. He looked up at the sky, allowing the rain to fall on his face. The rain got harder and harder until finally it was pounding. Riku was soaked, but he didn't care. All he cared about was following Sora's wishes: he had to find Kairi. He stood slowly and turned away from the grave.
"Sora, I'll find her. I promise."
He walked away from the grave, never looking back. Soon, he was running.
"…I promise…"
