These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time can not erase

Arianllyn thought back on the time she and Adaon had spent together before he had gone along on the quest to find the cauldron, the quest on which he had died. It had now been two years since that tragic day, yet she still mourned as though she had just heard the news. It just seemed as though she would never recover from her grief. It was almost unbearable to just get by every day, but she fought through each day with the strength she knew he would have wanted her to have in dealing with the pain that his death brought.

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears

She remembered when they were both very young, Adaon had lost a close friend to illness. She remembered one specific day when he had been having the hardest time with this loss. He had been crying, sobbing almost inconsolably. She remembered comforting him, wiping away the tears which ran freely from his eyes and throwing her arms about him.

When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears

She remembered another time, about three years later, when he'd had a bad dream. She'd heard him waken with a shout. She rushed to his room. He'd been sitting bolt upright in bed, just shivering. She'd comforted him again. He'd told her what the nightmare had been, and she reminded him that telling someone was the best way to end that bad dream forever.

And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

She remembered how after that, they'd been best friends at first, then their friendship had blossomed into love. He'd always had all of her love, and he always would.

You used to captivate me by your resonating light

She couldn't forget how he'd made her feel. When he was around, she felt whole, and so joyous that it seemed her soul would fly. And then, when he'd proposed… she'd never forget that moment.

Now I'm bound by the life you left behind

She could hardly bear to live through each day, yet she knew she'd survive. There had to be a light at the end of the tunnel. She'd pull through for him.
