My first try at a poem fanfic! please give me reviews. I will gladly edit my poem if you can think of better rhymes, synonyms, etc.
Contest appeal
The audience cheers as she appears,
Eyes echoing her joys and fears.
She's waited long through all these years,
Through hopeful songs and shedded tears.
"Bellossom, come on out!"
Rings her determined shout.
"Razor leaf!"
The sun shines high and lights the sky,
And soft leaves to the open fly.
As sunlight catches on, they cry,
A wonder not known to the eye.
"What shall I do next?"
She thinks and then she acts.
"Petal dance!"
The petals twirl and flit and swirl
They gaze in awe—each boy, each girl.
And skyward-bound, they each unfurl
Against the clouds of cream and pearl.
"Let's finish up this show!"
They both look set to go.
With grace and care, it fills the air
With sweet aromas, light and fair.
And as they end the watchers stare
"Return Bellosom!" How did she fare?
"I've trained such a long time," she sighs.
She won't get to do this twice.
"Let's see what the judges think!"
The MC shouts. She blinks.
No one believes what she receives.A perfect score. Soon night time eves.
In the sunset she loses her grieves.
The crowd goes wild. She bows. She leaves.
