AN: Hey everyone! There are a few things I need to say. I just recently watched Game of Thrones and ever since the idea of this story won't leave my mind therefore I decided to start it. And before you wonder, no it's not a crossover with TVD or anything but it's an AU vampire diaries fic. And the alternate universe is similar to Game of Thrones universe. I am aware that there must be similar stories out there and I can assure you that I am not trying to copy anyone's work here. If my story is similar to someone's please let me know before misunderstanding happens. Anyway, I am not expecting much out of this story. I'm not sure if anyone's even gonna read it or like it. Though I'd certainly appreciate a few readers. Hope you enjoy reading this story as I am enjoying writing it.
NOTE: I had abandoned this story but I want to finish it now. More like rewrite it. A few things will change but not very much. My writing has improved over the years I hope; so this story should come out better than before. Give this story another chance. It'd mean a lot to me. Thank you!
Chapter 1: History Of The Seven Kingdoms
More than a thousand years ago, only two worlds were known to people- the old world and the new world. And in between them lay the great blue sea.
The new world was also called the land of Mystic Falls.
Mystic Falls was divided in six kingdoms.
House Bennett was the most powerful kingdom. It was the home of witches and warlocks. They served the nature and maintained the balance. Ayana the queen of house Bennett was one of the most powerful witches in both old world and the new. All the other witches of Bennett bloodline were highly respected. They were after all royalties. There were other covens living in the kingdom. But Gemini coven was second most powerful. The witches of that coven had a close relation with the royalties. Once upon a time the Gemini coven helped the Bennett witches defeat the Travelers in a war. The friendship between these two covens developed since then.
The second most powerful kingdom was House Lockwood. Home of werewolves. After many years of diplomatic relation, house Lockwood and House Bennett had become allies. This alliance between the two powerful kingdoms had increased the strength of both houses. And it not only benefited house Lockwood and house Bennett but this alliance was convenient for other four kingdoms as well.
House Salvatore and House Gilbert were considered equally powerful. Whereas house Salvatore was wealthy, house Gilbert produced great hunters and warriors. The kings of both houses were friends therefore they had an alliance of their own. And even though they had no alliance with house Lockwood or house Bennett but they were at peace with them. But there were of course business relation among the four kingdoms.
House Donovan and House Forbes were no different. They also had diplomatic and business relation with the other kingdoms of Mystic Falls. Being the kingdoms of simple humans, house Donovan and house Forbes were considered least powerful kingdoms. House Donovan was even weaker than house Forbes. House Forbes was at least strict in their laws and produced beautiful women. House Donovan had nothing special except for the fact that the king was a good and kind man. The door of that house was open for everyone. And people of this kingdom could live more freely than in other kingdoms.
More than a thousand years ago, Mystic Falls was living the time of peace and prosper. But all that changed in a very short period of time when a man named Mikael crossed the great blue sea and came to Mystic Falls. And the day Mikael set foot on the land of Mystic Falls, was considered the very beginning or the birth of the seventh kingdom.
