very loosely based on the script song, talk you down. reviews are love :)
He phased immediately. He had to get to her. He'd pushed her too far this time. He remembered when he'd told her to do this. It was a spiteful joke, but if he wasn't on all fours he would've punched himself right then.
He was panicking, questioning if he'd even get there in time. How long did it take anyway? Did you have to get yourself ready for it? Or would she just do it?
He ran and he ran. And when he got there he phased back, he had to talk her down.
He saw her standing there on the edge of the cliff, but he didn't feel relieved. He was nowhere near relieved. If he couldn't get her down, it would be even more of his fault.
"Leah" he breathed. She jumped slightly, but she turned around.
Silence.
"Sam"
"I know"
"Emily" she whispered.
"I know"
"He'll never leave her, never love anyone else."
He didn't want to lie to her, lying would only postpone it.
"Come down, Leah, please"
"Why should I?"
"Your Mom, Seth, they lost a father, a husband, don't make them lose you too"
"They'd be better off without me Jake and you know it"
"No"
"Seth's got his imprint, Mom's got Charlie, they don't need me, the little spinster. God Jake, why doesn't anyone need me?"
"Le-" he started.
"Don't you dare. You have your little imprint and you don't need me either. Now the big girl wants a boyfriend and look what she's got?" Her voice was rising.
"Leah, I am begging you, please do not do this."
She yelled in fury and stepped back towards him off the ledge.
"Give me one good reason not too!"
He grabbed her wrist before she'd even realized what she'd done.
"Cause if you go, I go."
