A/N: I don't know how this came up, but I love Kid Blink, so here it is!
Disclaimer: I don't own Newsies.
"Hey everybody!" Kid Blink said, excitedly.
"Oh boy, this should be good," Racetrack mumbled to Crutchy.
Everybody gathered around, and listened to what Kid Blink had to say. "Now, as most of you know, I have written a musical!" He said, while beaming.
"That's great, Kid Blink. I'll go tell David!" Jack said, as he went to the Jacobs' house.
The other newsies listened to Kid Blink, and Jack came back with David, Sarah, and Les. "What's going on?" David asked, confused.
"Looks like Blinky here wrote a musical," Racetrack told him. "We don't even know the name yet." He said, waiting to hear the news.
"So, what's it called?" Crutchy asked.
"It's called The Strike," He told them. "It's going to be a drama about the hardships we have to go through." Kid Blink explained.
"Hey, is this going to be like the strike we had a few months ago?" David asked, finally figuring things out.
Kid Blink waited to answer. "You'll find out. Medda said we could have it staged at her playhouse," He said, as they all groaned. "Hey, c'mon guys! We have rehearsals when we sell enough, and opening night will be on the 15th!" He announced, gleefully.
"Will we get paid for this?" Les asked.
"No, but you will have the great opportunity of working together on a musical!" He said.
"Isn't working together to sell newspapers enough?" Jack asked, not wanting to do the musical.
They all agreed with Jack, and Kid Blink was starting to get mad. "I can't believe it. I came out here to have a good time, and I honestly feel so attacked right now," He said, feeling hurt because none of them wanted to do the musical.
Now, none of them had seen him get angry. Kid Blink was normally this happy-go-lucky person who hardly ever got mad. "Ok, Kid Blink. We'll do the musical. Right boys?" Sarah asked.
They all agreed, and Kid Blink wanted to make this as realistic as possible. "This is great! Now all we need is Denton to make this all perfect!" He said.
"Denton will never go for this," Jack said, not wanting to get Blink's hopes up.
"Denty will totally do this for us!" Kid Blink exclaimed.
The newsies looked at each other, as if they were on the Office. "Denty?" Racetrack mouthed to Crutchy.
He shrugged, and just went along with what was happening. "At least we get to sing!" Crutchy said, who didn't mind what was going on.
"Of course you don't, Crutch," Race said, while patting him on the back, as they all made their way back to the lodging house.
A/N: I know it kind of sucks, but please review!
