I'm staring down at the city of Manhattan, all the buildings huge, the people so tiny but so many. Why were we here again? Oh yeah, Logan's and Carlos's 18th birthday. They were born on the same day, at the same time, Carlos at 1:00 a.m., Logan at 1:00 p.m. We all found it hilarious. Out of the group, Kendall is the oldest, then me, then Carlos, then Logan. Each exactly 2 weeks apart, it's actually ironic. For Kendall's 18th birthday, we went surfing in Hawaii, for mine, we went to St. Louis, to the restaurant my parents met at, The Spaghetti Factory. Now we are in Manhattan, home of the most diverse culture hot spot in America, oh yeah and home to the Avengers. Personally I love Bruce Banner, Hulk. Carlos adores Steve Rogers, Captain America, Logan adores Thor, and Kendall loves Anthony Stark, Iron Man. Katie is in love with Natasha, Black Widow, something about female power and a nice body in skin tight clothes. We all like Hawkeye but, seeing as he's with S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Phil Coulson, none of us are really crushing on him. But really, how dreamy is the adorable Dr. Bruce Banner, he's so petite, and I love how wild Hulk is. I guess I better go, we're landing. So bye for now, this is James Diamond signing off of Diary Blog.
I shut my laptop and ignored Carlos's attempt to draw me into a game of poker. The plane landed just as I finished logging my computer down, I congratulated myself on my timing, it always had been impeccable. The plane landed without a hitch and before we knew it we were out of the plane and in a limo to our hotel. The Hilton rose none the less majestically than the rest of the buildings, and being from L.A. this was less than impressive. Checking in went smoothly, thank you Mama Knight, and soon we were all settled in our suites. Everyone had their own so we were really chill about the fact that the T.V. wasn't working. My door suddenly swung open and a smiling Carlos poked his head in.
"Hey we're gonna walk around for a while, you want to go with us?" I nodded and shooed him out so I could change. My loose boot cuts disappeared, as did my blazer and t-shirt. My skinny jeans, well-worn in and faded from black to gray, went well with my acid green practically sheer from wear t-shirt. I looked hot and I knew it. Sliding on my vans was easy and I quickly went to the living room. The sun was just setting so we headed out with a warning from Mama Knight ringing in our ears. It was balmy, and beautiful, the people were so different. I saw just about every type in the first five minutes away from the hotel. How wonderful. We slowly meandered and before we knew it we were far away from where we started, and it wasn't the same type of people, this was more rough and tumble than anything. Joy, we were in the bad part of town, and we were all getting eyed hungrily. Oh dear heavens, I don't like this.
