7 Things, a harry potter fanfic

A/N I'm changing the lyrics a little bit to fix it to their relationship.

Disclaimer: I do not own 7 Things, or Harry Potter. That's all Miley's and J.K. Rowling's. Oh well. At least I can manipulate it.

Lily looked over to where James sat with the other Marauders. She was sitting with her best friends, Alice, Mary, and Marlene. James must have felt her eyes on him because he looked up at her and smiled. A genuine smile. She smiled back, but quickly hid her face with her hair to cover up the sudden blush on her cheeks.

I probably shouldn't say this but at times I get so scared. When I think about the relationship that we could have shared. It'd be awesome, man I've lost it. It's not possible for me not to care. And now we're sitting with our friends and nothing's ever gonna change until you hear, my dear.

Lily felt her cheeks turn red, this time with anger as she thought of all the things she hated about James.

The 7 things I hate about you! The 7 things I hate about you, oh you! You're vain, your games, you're so secure, you love me, you like her, you make me laugh, you make me cry, I don't know which side to buy. Your friends, they're jerks, when you act like them just know it hurts. I wanna be with the one I know! And the 7th thing I hate the most that you do, you make me love you.

She looked around at her friends. They were looking at her, as if they knew the battle that was going on in her head. She turned to the Marauders. They were looking at her like that too. It was quiet as she looked back down at the book in her lap, her cheeks flaming red.

It's awkward and it's silent as I wait for you to say. What I need to hear now, that you still love me. If you mean it, I'll believe it, if you owl it, I'll just trash it, let's be clear. Oh I'm not going there you're taking 7 steps here, my dear.

Lily looked up again and over at James. He was still smiling at her. It felt as if the whole world had stopped and it was just them.

And compared to all the great things that would take too long to write, I probably should have mentioned the seven that I like. The 7 things I like about you! Your hair, your eyes, your old Levi's, when you smile I'm hypnotized, you make me laugh, you make me cry, I guess that's both I'll have to buy. Your hand by mine, when we're side by side everything's alright. I wanna be with the one I know, and the 7th thing I like the most that you do….you make me love you. You do.

Slowly, Lily stood up and walked over to the Marauders. Behind her, Marlene, Mary, and Alice were holding their breath, waiting to see what she was about to start yelling about. In front of her, Remus, Peter, and Sirius were waiting to see what she was about to start yelling about. Only James knew she wasn't going to yell. She stopped in front of him, a small smile on her face. She didn't need to say anything. She leaned forward and kissed him, lightly at first before he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulled her into his lap and deepened the kiss. She slid her hands across his chest and then linked them behind his neck. She smiled. Slowly, she pulled away and he did the same.

"I love you," she whispered.

"I love you too," he replied. Then they happily started kissing again.

A/N I love all things Lily and James. They are so perfect for each other. I'm telling you what. Anyways, this was just a little songfic. "7 Things" totally describes those two, I think. I hope you enjoyed it! :D
