Fighting for who I love

Lindsay looked at her watch. 10pm. Her shift will end in 30 minutes. She looked at the other desk in her office. Danny's desk, their office. That office seemed to be the only thing they had in common now.

Since Ruben died – about a week ago – Danny keeps pushing her away. Every time she tries to talk to him he's too tired, he's not in the mood, and it's too late maybe tomorrow. That 'tomorrow' had turned into 7 days. She just wanted him to talk to her, to tell her how he feels. 'That can't be too hard', she thought.

She knows that she's been evil every time she thinks that. When she needed him the most, when she was the one with problems, she pushed him away. 'No Lindsay, stop! One thing is pushing him away when he tried to have something more than just friendship. A totally different thing is him pushing you away when you're in this, this thing, whatever this is'.

In the last 8 months they had been spending it together. They would meet 4, 5 days a week – usually at his apartment – and have fun. They would play pool, cuddle in his bed watching a movie and eating popcorn. They would go out for dinner and go to a bar. They would sleep together, most of the times they would oversleep in his bed cuddling into each other (fully dressed!). She loved it, to wake up in his bed, just like they're 1st time on his pool table 8 months ago. But Since Ruben's death they never meet up. Actually they never talk now, not like the way they used to. The flirtatious moments ended, and she feels like she has a closer connection with Adam or Hawkes than she has with Danny.

She misses him, she missed waking up in his arms, she misses his kisses, she misses his sexy smile, she misses everything about him. And she's scare. She's scared that maybe with all this 'Ruben' thing he started thinking about what is important to him, to his life. Maybe he thought that this was interesting when she didn't want this with him, maybe the only thing that caused him to go through all this was the challenge. Now that he has her he lost his interest.

She picked up her cell and dilated his number. He didn't picked up. Lindsay soon realized, even if she never told him, she loves him more than she ever thought that she could love. She got up and decided she was going to fight for the man she loves.
