Destined to Fall?

Darkness envelops; held close like a cloak
Shedding the light as if casting a stone
Invisible hands are created and choke
Pinching shut oxygen, crushing hard bone
His oldest dream, his greatest fear
Becoming the evil that shared his own name
A transparent force to him shadow would steer
Ruthless desire wasn't able to tame
No words are spoken, no reprimand heard
Only his cruel sense of justice is done
While the victim struggles for air, to get out a word
To repent but forgiveness there's none
Day after day a struggle takes place
My inner demons shield my self from
Will I live up to my name by falling from grace?
Is it inevitable that the darkness will come?
If even the light within you is dark
You are doomed amongst the shadows to crawl
Does my name leave an invisible mark?
Again I ask: Am I destined to fall?
