I'm sitting under my favorite tree, contemplating why he never seems to pay any attention to me, when the first drops of rain splash on the lake. "Just great," I mumble out loud, gathering my stuff to head inside. It's then that I see him walking around in a daze, not even noticing the ever-increasing drizzle, let alone trying to find shelter. "Percy!" I catch his attention and beckoning him to the protection of the giant tree's leaves. "What are you doing? You'll catch your death of cold!" I cast a quick drying spell on him.

"Thanks," he mumbles looking downhearted.

"What's the matter?"

He sighs before answering, "Ever have one of those days when nothing is going right? And just when you think of something that can make it better, you lose all faith in yourself?" I blink in surprise. Is this really Percy Weasley talking to me right now? He is usually so confident and carefree. The wind starts blowing, causing the downpour to reach into our makeshift shelter.

"It can't be all that bad can it Percy?" I ask, placing a hand upon his shoulder. I feel him shiver slightly as the wind blows across the grounds, and his damp sweater.

"If you only knew." He really sounds exasperated. I look into his eyes, and pausing for only a second, decide to do something rash. Taking my perfectly polished fingers, I gently wipe the rain from his face.

"How about I make things better?" I ask before quickly standing on tiptoe and placing a tentative kiss on his lips. It takes only a second for him to respond, putting his arms around me and deepening the kiss. I slowly pull back after a few minutes. "See I told you I could make it better!" I smile up at him, as he attempts to catch his breath. Slowly a smile spreads across his face.

"Wow, where did that come from Penelope?" I just shrug and tug at one of my curls. Smiling he picks me up with surprisingly toned arms and twirls me through the rain. Laughing, he sits me down and tugs me towards the castle. "Come on! Let's go raid the kitchens!" I raise an eyebrow at this unexpected outburst, but follow anyways, glad to have put the joy back into his eyes.
