Stefan's POV:
They look exactly like Aurora. Yes, I said THEY! There are two of them! That girl was OUR first love, and the one who got away... The only issue is that there are two of those girls, and Aurora had been locked up in the tomb since 1864. Who are they? I spot both girls kneeling at a very large gravestone. Both had tears streaming down their face... And a boy, who seemed to be the brother, stood next to a red headed women. She looked no more than 25. I immediately assumed that the girls were twins. I mean they were absolutely identical. But just HOW did they look so much like Aurora? They couldn't have been related. As far as I knew, they were Gilberts, and Aurora was a Pierce. I was so engrossed with my own thoughts, that I almost missed the twins very sudden actions. As both girls got up and hugged each other, they walked closer to the bush I was hiding behind. I run over to the trees, leaving the bush to sway, and the girls confused. Those girls were identical, but I was drawn to one. The one that had just looked at me, I had to get out of here. The one who spotted me whispered hoarsely,
"Hello? Is anyone there? Hello? Katherine, we should just stand near Aunt Jenna. Its kinda creepy over here." I could tell that her grief had not completely overtaken her curiosity as another sob was about to escape her throat, when her sister replied,
"Umm, sure. Yeah lets go. Jeremy needs us anyway." The other twin whispered.
But the first girl kept looking for me. So much for hoping that she wasn't curious...
"Elena, lets go!"
So that's what her name is, Elena. Elena and Katherine. The twins. Elena nodded, but looked cautious. I would too, after all, they are at a cemetery. Then my head turns sharply as I hear footsteps approach me. Waiting to confront this person, I turn around ready to fight, only to see my older brother Damon standing there. His eyes trail to the funeral, he obviously knew I was watching. Damon peeks stealthily behind the bush and his eyes drop to the two girls, once again kneeling in front of the gravestone.
"Holy shit! Are we hallucinating?" he asks me, his eyes completely wide open.
Damon has never been afraid as a vampire. But even he was freaked out by the resemblance. So was I. And I had a weird feeling in my stomach, and it wasn't because I was hungry. No. This was different. Damon figured it out. We both knew we couldn't resist not knowing them. It's dangerous, humans getting close to vampires. People get hurt, intentionally or not. Physical or emotional, people always get hurt. And nobody is ever just ready for that...
""I guess we get to stay in Mystic Falls a little longer. We need to know them Damon... we NEED to" I spoke softly.
Damon nodded his head slowly. He knew the risk as well... Damon and I don't always see eye to eye on things but this is the one thing he agrees with me on. We were drawn to those girls like magnets. This can't end badly for us. The Salvatore Brothers back in Mystic Falls... no this will DEFINITELY end badly for us.
