"I ain't her."
Well, that was dramatic. Nearly over the top, in fact.
But not quite, which is a pity.
Over the top might've earned a laugh.
Over the top could've been a joke.
Over the top I could've ignored.
But just plain dramatic, well… not so much.
Just plain dramatic stopped my heart half a second and forced a lie to my lips.
"Only people in this room are you and me."
She doesn't believe me, but she lets it slide. Her need's as big as mine tonight.
We both choose to believe my lie… at least for tonight.
