Life
Hiroki Kamijou felt himself being tugged out of his sleep by a kiss. He pretended that he hated this, but secretly it was his favorite part of the day. His eyes were closed partly in pleasure and partly because he was still waking up. However, he made sure to open them so that he wouldn't miss Nowaki Kusama's smile. Recently, waking up in the morning hadn't been so bad.
Hiro-san flung up the covers and got out of bed. Nowaki watched him and until he was yelled at for doing so. He looked around the room instead and grinned broadly. Hiro-san's clothes from last night were scattered all over the floor. Two of the buttons on his shirt were missing (Nowaki had been really excited last night). The threading on his pants around the zipper area was coming loose (Nowaki wasn't so gentle with the pants, but he did make sure not to hurt Hiro-san in the process). The tie he had been wearing was all the way across the room (Nowaki remembered using it to pull Hiro-san closer to him).
Struck suddenly with a wave of arousal similar to last night's, Nowaki tackled Hiro-san back onto the bed. Hiro-san toppled onto his back and Nowaki briefly lifted him in his arms and turned him around, as making love face to face still embarrassed Hiro-san. Nowaki made a promise to himself and Hiro-san that he would fix this some day.
Sometimes after "doing it", Hiro-san would reflect on things. Sometimes himself, sometimes Nowaki, and sometimes just about life in general. He thought about how he gave off the impression that his life was miserable. But truthfully, ever since he started living with Nowaki, his life had been full of love, and well…happiness. He had to admit that his life wasn't ordinary, but with Nowaki in it, he didn't really mind.
Nowaki liked to reflect on things too. He thought about Hiro-san, he thought about himself, and he thought about his job. Being around kids all day at the hospital made him want children of his own sometimes. He loved having Hiro-san all to himself, but at times, he entertained the thought of sharing him with their children.
Sometimes though, the pressure of work and love just got to Hiro-san. But then Nowaki would come up to Hiro-san and just hold him in his arms. He would say "I know, Hiro-san, I know. But I'm here for you. I want to make the one that I love happy." Then his smile would slide into a smirk and he would whisper in his ear "In more ways than one." Hiro-san would blush and flail in Nowaki's arms, pretending that he wasn't becoming aroused.
Their relationship wasn't always the easiest thing in the world. Already, they'd had so many ups and downs. But at the end of the day, even though Hiro-san might not always show it, and even though Nowaki might still be at the hospital, working a late night, they still loved each other. It was the little things that counted. The way that Nowaki made always made sure that Hiro-san didn't go hungry. The way Hiro-san that always made sure that Nowaki had that big, goofy grin on his face. And of course, mornings like these.
A/N: Thanks for reading! I hope that the story doesn't flow too awkwardly. It was originally a song fic, but I wrote it before I signed up for an account so I didn't know that they weren't allowed haha. In case anybody is wondering though, the song is "Up Periscope" by Drake Bell. The story still follows the song, but I had to take the actual lyrics out. Anyway, thanks again!
