~One week ago~
"Why won't you say it?" "Babe calm down" "NO! Why won't you say it back dammit!" "Jeffrey.." Adam could feel a migraine coming on. "You know what Adam? When you're ready to return my love I'll be at Matt's house" "Jeffy!" All he got was a door in his face .
~Now~
Today was July 4th, Independence Day. Outside was sweltering, the smell of burning charcoal and the laughter of children filled the air. People splashed around in pools and little kids ran in sprinklers.
Everyone was excited for the big fireworks show at the park tonight. People had already pick out spots from what Adam heard. Speaking of Adam, he was actually driving down to Matt's house right now.
When he pulled into the big dirt "driveway" he sat in the car for a while; just trying to muster up the courage to face Jeff. He knew Jeff was pissed 'cause he thought that Adam didn't return his love but in all honesty Adam did return it. Ten fold. But he just couldn't vocalize it.
Sighing and shaking his head Adam got out of the car and took the longest walk of his life (so far). Adam took a deep breath and knocked on the door, listening for footsteps. When they arrived he prepared himself to have Jeff lash out at him. Well Jeff did answer the door which was good and he didn't slam it in his face which was also good. But he wasn't smiling, which was bad. "Hey Jeffers." "Adam." "I was wondering if you wanted to come to the park with me. Ya know…to see fireworks?" Adam added a sheepish smile to the end of his question. "Please baby?" "Hmm fine"
~At the park~
"Ok just a little more steps babe." Adam was leading Jeff up a hill to most perfect spot to view the fireworks. "Ok open" When Jeff opened his eyes he gasped, the scene was so romantic. There were red,white and blue roses in a American flag striped vase on a cute blanket. There were candles and a little picnic laid out. "C'mon Jeff the fireworks are about to start." As they took their seats the sky started lighting up with beautiful colors. "Jeff I have something to tell you…" "Yeah babe?" "I love you..so so much" Jeff eyes glittered with tears "I love you too!"

A/N-This will probably be posted at 12 one minute AFTER Fourth of July =(. I SHOULD be working on the 4th Chapter to Bite Me but after have an awesome BBQ, Swimming most of the day and ending the day shoving down red,white and blue cookies, watching fireworks and catching fireflies I just HAD to write a crappy 4th of July story. ^^Well Happy (belated) 4th of July!
