Okay - there have been a few occasions when I've gotten so thoroughly pissed off at a 'twist' in a show. The season finale is one of those times. I loved everything right up until the end. What a waste of potential. So - I got inspired to do this one shot. I will return to my normally scheduled stories shortly. Hope you like it.

"How do I let you talk me into things like this?" Mary demanded, glancing back at the man pressed up against her back.

"Simple 'kitten'," he responded, pressing a kiss to her shoulder. "I know exactly what moves you."

"You are so going to be hurt for that," Mary playfully snarled as she turned around and threaded her fingers into his mussed hair.

"Promise?" His voice was husky when he whispered and it sent all kinds of sweet tingles through Mary's body. She was crazy for being here, crazy for taking this chance.

And yet, it felt good to be here.

The original plan had been to get to Mexico and take a day or two and then make a decision. But she'd been unable to decide between Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta. Until another one of her mother's brochures caught her eye showing the Pyramid of the Sun. Even in her mind she could hear Marshall's voice telling her facts about it.

And that was all it took for her to know just who needed to be with her to make it a comfortable experience. A messy experience. So here they were, two day into the cruise and they'd only left the hotel once.

"When did you get so charming?" she asked as he moved in closer for a kiss.

"I've always been charming. You just don't always appreciate it."

"Right," she chuckled. "And since when do you do messy?"

Marshall brushed his nose against hers before brushing the briefest of kisses against her lips. "I think it was when I saw you actually interact with a witness. You were awkward and uncomfortable and messy. And perfect."

"Doofus," she murmured before kissing him.
