A/N I got some serious inspiration while listening to the New Edition song of the same name and I thought it was perfect for Jane and Lisbon. So here's my second venture into the world of The Mentalist and also to the world of one-shots. Hope you enjoy!
She knew they were going to have problems. After the initial confessions of something resembling love, she knew. There was the Red John issue, his ability to irritate and piss off anyone and everyone, or any other couple-like issue that they happened to come across. She just hoped that after it all, they'd still love each other then as much as they do now. She knew that they were going to be irritated with each other and want to throw things at each other, but at the end of the day, they'll end up in each other's arms again, right? She surely hoped so. She hopes that, even though there will be some serious moments where she just wants to pack her things and call it quits, her love for him and his for her will remain strong and untouched by the hands of time. There will be trials and tribulations throughout their relationship, figurative thunderstorms through the pages of their love story. But, all in all, in the end, all they had was each other, and that's all that mattered.
