I look out over the crowd from my place on the podium. That's when I see her. My Ace. I can't believe she is here. At my engagement party, talking to my friends no less. Granted I haven't seen them for 5 years and haven't really spoken to them but they were my friends first.
I wonder who invited her. And for her to show up no less. She turns to the side and I see that she is pregnant. About 7 months I guess.
I see someone else coming towards me as I step off the podium.
"Congratulations, Mate." Finn says to me when we meet in the middle.
"Thanks, Man. It means a lot to me that you are here. Even after I missed your wedding." I reply.
"It's fine. All in the past. Speaking of my lovely wife have you had a chance to say hello to her yet?"
"No I haven't. Though even if I had the time I wouldn't have been able to because I don't know who this Leigh Hayden is."
"What are you talking about, mate. Of course you know who she is." Finn states, confusion clearly showing on his face.
"Take me to meet her then. I may remember her once I see her."
"Alright then, Follow me."
He starts walking over to where Ace is standing talking to a groups of girls. I think I recognize one or two of them. I expect Finn to walk up to the redhead of the group but imagine my surprise when he stops behind Rory and places a hand on her swallen belly. I overhear him talking to her.
"Kitten, may I drag you away from all these lovely ladies for a moment, there is someone I think you should say hello to."
She turns around and gives me a big smile.
"Hey Logan, Congratulations." she says to me. She then leans up and kisses me on the cheek before whispering 'I'm sorry' in my ear.
She pulls back and smiles at me again before saying "I'm Leigh Hayden."
"No. Ace. That can't be true. You're Rory Gilmore. If you were Leigh Hayden that would mean -"
"That she is married to me." finishes Finn.
I look over at Finn.
"Tell me you didn't."
The look on Finn's face says it all,
"Oh man. I Can't believe you married her, You know I still love her." I say to him trying to keep my voice down as to not make a scene.
"I'm sorry mate, but you know I have always loved her. And anyway you have Stacey now. So please let her go and be happy with your new life." pleads Finn.
"Logan, I will always have a special place in my heart for you but I'm with Finn now. I'm pregnant with our second child. Please you need to let me go. I'm not your Ace anymore. You deserve to be happy, so be with her. Lover her and make a life with her. But promise me when you forgive us that you will be a part of our lives." Rory says.
With that she kisses my cheek again, takes Finn's hand in hers and they both walk away without looking back. I know she is right but I will always love her and I will always look at her as My Ace.
