Fucking morons, the lot of them, England thought to himself as he furiously paced down the empty hallways. If he had to spend even another second in the World Meeting, he just might explode. At least it was lunch break now, so he'd finally get some time to himself.

After several minutes of wandering down the labyrinth of hallways in the meeting center, England finally found a place to eat: a large room, sparsely decorated with antique furniture, a coffee table, and a few bookshelves. He took out his lunch (Earl Gray tea and a roast beef sandwich) and sat down on a dusty leather armchair.

"England?" a voice said.

England turned around to find a platinum blond-haired Scandinavian man sitting in the chair a few feet away from his.

"Hi, Norway," England said to him. "Sorry, do you mind if I'm here?"

"No, it's fine," Norway replied. "I'm just here to get away from my idiot acquaintance."

"Really? Me too," England said, smiling slightly. He paused. "I mean, it's probably someone else, but..."

"America?"

"Unfortunately. What about you?"

"Denmark."

"Ah. You know, I feel like the two of them would get a long really well."

Norway nodded in agreement. "They certainly would."

There was another pause before England decided to say anything again.

"So how have you been lately?"

"Pretty good," Norway replied. "The other Nordics, Estonia, and I were in a magazine the other day, but not much else has happened." He paused. "Oh, but I got one of my trolls to sneak into Denmark's room and tell him he'd be cursed if he didn't stop bugging me. That was kind of fun... What about you?"

Half an hour later, the sound of a bell resonated through the room, signaling the end of their break. England cursed under his breath as he and Norway got up and left.

"So, er... Norway," England said as they approached the door to the meeting room.

The Norwegian, who was reaching for the doorknob, turned back to him. "Hm?"

"I was wondering... Are you on Facebook or Twitter or anything?"

"Yes, I'm on Facebook," Norway said.

England looked up, his confidence returning. "Great. I'll have to send you a friend request later."

"And I'll have to accept it."

With that, the two returned to their seats. Unfortunately, England actually did explode a few minutes later, but such is life.
