Mason stood outside of the Sohma house, her bleach blonde locks swam through the breeze as she tried to sort out her thoughts.
"Three days...but it just doesn't feel right..."
A wedding would occur in only three short days, but not one to her liking. She would be marrying Akito, against her own wishes. What other way would Akito's gender be kept a secret than to marry a female? Mason shivered in disgust at the thought of Akito Sohma slipping a ring ever so slyly on to her finger.
"Hey, what's up?" A voice from behind called. The girl turned around, only to see at first a mop of hair that was none other that her favorite color; orange.
"Kyo? Since when do you come to the main house?!" She yelled.
Mason's face became red.
"Uh, since I was invited to help out with the wedding stuff. Jeez, someone must be in a bad mood!".
She sighed yet again.
"No, no, I'm just stressed, is all. I don't feel right about marrying...Akito."
Kyo scoffed.
"Well, duh, who would?! That man's a creep! And are you really gonna get married wearing the colors that you are right now?"
Kyo eyed the dark shades of fabric and large amount of jewelry that clothed the girl.
"Hey, I like dressing like this!" She retorted.
The cat waved his hands jokingly in defeat.
"Okay, okay, whatever." He gave in. Mason let out a small laugh, something she usually only did around Kyo.
Just as Kyo turned to walk away, a question popped into his head. He faced her once again.
"Hey, if you could actually choose who you would marry, who would it be?"
Mason froze. She had never thought about it before. Her mind immediately searched for an answer, but only came up with images from her and Kyo's past; them laughing together, crying together, just talking on the roof...wait, maybe that WAS the answer!
Mason's eyes glazed over with warm tears, and a small smile crossed her lips.
"Uh, you okay?" Kyo asked cluelessly.
"You." She responded blankly.
"Eh?"
"You, Kyo...I would marry you."
Kyo's eyes grew wide, and his face became a deep shade of red. Mason ran into his arms, and hugged as if her entire life depended on it. Kyo, doing the same, let a smile take him over as well. His short lived smile, however, was interrupted by a cloud of smoke and an all-too-familiar "poof".
The girl giggled at the orange cat, who lay now against her leg, purring serenely.
Who knows? Maybe a miracle could happen before those three days are up.

A/N- Sorry if this is terrible, or if I made your OC act OOC. I've never written using an OC before, so hopefully this is okay?
