This story is dedicated to those who had died in Italy in the bus accident. The bus accident just barely happened today and I wanted to commemorate those who died in this story. Rated T for obvious reasons.
Just after visiting a shrine, a bus had fallen off a bridge and plunged down into the forest below in Italy. The bus was going to return to Naples, but many of the passengers wouldn't return home. Over 38 people were killed in the accident.
On the bridge shortly after help arrived stood the Italian personifications. Both had bandages and blood still stained some areas of their clothes. They gazed at the scene with much remorse. Broken guard rails, crashed cars, and broken glass littered the ground that lead to the area where the bus had fallen off.
Two cars pulled up just beside the two Italians. A Spaniard and a blond German rushed out of their cars and came to the Italians with worried looks. Feliciano, the younger of the two Italians hugged the German, Ludwig. Antonio, the Spaniard, gave a comforting hug to Lovino, the older of the two Italians.
"I can't believe this happened. I'm so sorry." Feliciano cried into Ludwig's shoulder.
Ludwig patted the crying Italian's head, "It's not your fault, Feli. There was no way someone could see this coming."
Lovino looked remorsefully at the broken guard rail where the bus veered off. Antonio hugged him tighter, "It really isn't anyone's fault. Accidents happen all the time-"
Lovino glared angrily at Antonio, "How can you say that! 38 people died today and all you can say is that it happens all the time! This stuff normally doesn't happen!"
Antonio backed off to avoid any more anger from the Italian.
A police officer walked up to the group and asked to talk to the young Italians. This police officer had many connections with the government and was allowed to know of the nation personifications. He pulled them aside and updated them on the situation. "There was an investigation of the bus, and we found that the brakes weren't working properly. It was more than likely a mechanical failure. Other than that, we haven't found anything else. I think it would be better for you two to go home. It's probably not good for you two to mope about."
The two Italians nodded to the officer and walked back to Antonio and Ludwig. They explained what possibly happened, and asked for a ride back home.
"You sure? We could take you guys to lunch as well, or we could-" Ludwig offered to the Italians.
Italy stopped him before he could continue, "I appreciate the offer, but fratello (1) and I just want to go home."
Ludwig and Antonio looked at each other then lead them to the cars. Today was going to stain their memories, and they would never forget the loss that had just happened.
I felt so bad when I heard this news this morning. Rest in peace those who have died. I won't ask for reviews like I usually do at the end, I'm just glad I was able to write something to commemorate their loss and not let it pass by and fade away.
Again, rest in peace people who died on July 29, 2013 in Italy.
