It was hard seeing him back like this it was as if nothing had happened, when in fact everything had changed. For better or worse I'm not sure but none the less. I had been thinking about about him and everything that had happened up to the blow fish thing so hard that I had become slightly absentminded. Tosh pulled me aside and told me things happen for a reason. The fact that Jack was back was that he had a reason for it.
Strong arms wrapped around my waist ones that I knew so well. I couldn't take it I had to pull away. I had to get away and not think about him and his ways.
"What' wrong Ian?" Jack asked as I walk around the little living area of the hub.
"I don't think I can take any more Jack. You left me here to go on your adventure with that doctor and didn't even leave a note. I mean you were medically died for three days then you left not 24 hours after waking. You were gone for mouths and then you turn up like nothing changed. You had the hart guy that showed up and ex and you were hung up on a Rose girl and you even had a thing for Gwen. Gwen of all people, and I can't take it any more. I can't give my heart to some one, can't love them so much that it hurts to think they never see you the same way, never love you the same way. I can't live like that I can't."
"I might have left but I came back."
"I know that! You came back because you love this planet you love this job. You love the fact that you have people that need you to come back. You also love the fact that no matter what you might do you'll have your fuck toy."
"Fuck toy no, your wrong there's only one reason I came back."
"What's that one reason besides those would you need?" I ask turning to him.
"I'm in love." he said.
"With who?" I said tears running down my face.
"You." said a male voice
'So this is the doctor I can see why he went with him.' Ianto thought at seeing the doctor
"Doctor, what are you doing back?"
"I saw a picture of Ianto this one that stole your heart. I'm kind of jealous of hearing about you. I mean it was Ianto this and Ianto that. I can't believe Ianto did this or how cute you are. If he were a time lord I would say you were his mate."
All of my anger at Jack and my hatred for all the people I thought Jack had really loved melted away. I looked at Jack really looked at Jack for the first time in two days and thought about everything.
"Is it true?" I ask.
He smiles and replies in a language I don't understand. The doctor laughs at my confutation.
"He doesn't understand Jack."
"Yes I came back for you, I love you. All the time I had been gone all I thought was is Ianto alright, dose he miss me, dose he care that I'm gone?" Jack whispered.
"You left me."
"I know and I'm sorry, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have come back."
"Will you live again.?"
"Only if you come with me."
With a flying leap I was in Jacks arms face barred in his neck. I was happy to have him, happy that I would have him for as long as he would have me. I know he would live a lot longer then me but I would be happy with the time we had and I hope he would too.
"What will you do now Doctor?" Jack asked.
"The only thing I know." he smiled "travel. Would you like to come?"
Jack smiles "I would like to come but I have one major thing that is here, and I would like to stay were every he is."
"Be happy Jack, and don't ever let that go. Keep that love. It will be the only thing to keep you grounded." the doctor said giving Jack a one armed hug.
"I will and I hope you find that yourself." Jack replied.
"I hope so too." the Doctor said with a sad smile.
