Hi sorry this is another one shot. For me i think it's very short but can't think of any way to make it longer without blabbering on and on.
Disclaimer: i don't own Hermione. Nor any circumstance, situation, or other person, place, or thing you may recognize. ----------------------------------------------------------
She was sitting by the window, silent and mournful, her eyes were brimming with tears as she remembered her youth gone by. She spoke not a word to anyone about it, but everyone who saw her knew that it was getting close to that time. The time when she would go off on her next great adventure; her greatest yet in fact, where she would see her two best friends, as well as all of her colleagues she had lost throughout her life.
When the medi-witches speak of her they call her the hero who lost it all, her family, her friends, her youth, and the man she loved more than life its-self. The death of Hermione Granger-Weasley would be tragic indeed, yet not unexpected as her health has been rapidly decreasing over the past weeks, months and steadily over the years.
When the few people she had left come to call, she would recollect happy times in her life. Her sorting into Gryffindor at eleven years old, the many dangerous yet exciting adventures she went on throughout her school years, always at the side of her best friend. Her graduating from Hogwarts with the highest marks in the whole school (as if there was ever any doubt), and helping Harry finally defeat Voldemort were among the many stories she would tell. Then there was her wedding day, which was as far as she can remember, the happiest day of her life, as well as the day she discovered she was pregnant.
Nobody ever talked about the bad times. Not her miscarriage at 21 weeks, then finding out she could never have another child. Not Ron's death at the hand of his brother Percy. Harry's insanity after having his connection to Voldemort cut off so abruptly, as well as his death following a prolonged exposure to the Cruciatus curse performed by Pettigrew were definitely taboo subjects. Nobody ever talked about these, in Hermione's private bubble of a room, only happy memories were allowed.
The day Hermione would die would be a sad day indeed. As expected her death-day would be recorded and would become a holiday just like Harry's, Ron's, and Dumbledore's. Everybody knew that her funeral would be held at Hogwarts just like three of the most important people's funerals in modern Wizarding history. People would talk about her bravery and Gryffindor courage, and how she used to be the smartest witch to ever walk the halls of Hogwarts. Other people would brag about rubbing elbows with the trio while in school. Even though they had never met, even more would try to claim that they had been on first name basis with the great Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter. After the ceremony and the bragging and the celebration of her life were over, her body would then be laid to rest on Harry Potter's left side where she always stood when they were alive with Ron on his right. They would then be together forever in the Summerland.
Her next great adventure indeed.
"Ron I'm coming home soon. Wait for me?" she would whisper at night and if she strained hard enough she could swear she heard the reply,
i "Always, love" /i
