black/white
Distant memory
of mockingbirds
They sing happily
without fear they sing
Blissful ignorance
cling, hold on tight
Don't let go
hold my hand
monster/human
He is evil
you are kind
because you are human
But wait-
he is also human
is he not?
No
but he is a monster
he can not be human
Yet he breathes
he eats
he must be human
right/wrong
Stand straight
head up
chin tilted
shoulders back
Song of the mockingbirds-
where did they go
over the valleys
to the plains of water willows?
Gone
having fled from wormwoods
comebackcomebackcomeback
please you are needed
They've strive
they're do not listen
have they forgotten
all we had done?
life/death
Shattered window
spotted chrysanthemums
tainted by the touches
of laughing hyenas
they laugh
Do you see?
some are strong
others not as much
they break
pressure and they break
Wash your hands of it
please
please
please
but you can't
In
too
deep
can't
escape
good/evil
Look past
walk a mile in their shoes
understand
sympathize
love
don't hate
The seed shooting upwards
towards the sky
reaching the top
growth in ability
morals changed
wisdom replaces naivety
Co-existing balance
somewhat compatible
there can be both
goodbadcruelkind
look reallyreally look hard
never give up hope
Clarity it is clear
he is human
he always has been
how could that be question
when he has a heart
a soul a mind?

A/N: Err. The first poetry piece I've ever written with symbols.
I know how to use commas. I chose not to. I'm also aware I repeated a lot of things. I chose to do that too.
Kudos to you if you got most of my references. :)
Water willow: Freedom
Wormwood: Injustice
Everything else is up to you. :)
