Hello to any people that may read this. This is my first story ever! I love reading and I love a well written story. I have never tried writing so I may fail at my own pet hate. However, I thought it was time I actually joined and gave it a try. I am huge once fan and have been reading fics for months. I was actually sold to the idea of evil charming because of some of the brilliant writers you have within this fandom. Honestly some of the stories have blown me away. Hopefully I can do Regina and David half the justice.
Ok so this is just a bit of a prologue, I know its short and a little unknowing. Hopefully it is enough to intrigue a few of you though. Let me know your thoughts on whether you would like the rest of the story or not.. Once I finish the rest of the outline that is. Your feedback and criticism is more than welcome. Xx
She is toxic. That much he has always known. The way the darkness had consumed her, the hatred that seeped into every pore and the spark of revenge that always flamed in her eyes. She is toxic and he is certain of it. She had been villainous and beyond dangerous in their land. She had been murderous, ruthless and remorseless. Untouchable, barely human. She had wanted his heart ripped from his chest and his head torn from his body, a feeling that was very mutual. They were sworn enemies, bound at opposite ends by one person … Snow. The reason that started all this to begin with.
Now, however, as he looks at her all he can see is emptiness. There is nothing inside her. No witty comment, no dramatic flare, no spark in her eyes. There is no fight in her, no fire. Her eyes are hollow. She just stands there. Just stands and watches as they leave with her son.
She has lost everything – a more than fitting punishment, yet he can't help the contracting muscles in his heart or the feeling that forms in the pit of his stomach. The feeling fills him with sadness, regret and pity. As he looks at her now, he does not see the Evil Queen. He does not see the woman that destroyed multiple lives. All he sees is Regina – His Regina. The woman he had spent a brief moment cherishing, the woman who ever so briefly let him in. All he sees is the woman who had tried so hard to help him bring his family back and the woman who had given up everything for her son. He had seen her and she was beautiful.
In this moment she is that woman, letting her mask slip for the slightest of time. She is broken, yet she has never looked more beautiful or real. Caught up in it all the feeling to help her, to protect her from more heartbreak overwhelms him. He is not sure where the feeling comes from. All he knows is that he wants to trust it. To embrace it, embrace the reality of her. She is touchable and he has seen it. It is then that he realises that she is even more dangerous to him now. That she will be his downfall and he is hopeless to stop it.
