Oh god why did I write this! Well, something different :P Xephmadia
Xephos walked behind his house. He had told Lomaida that he would be back later. When he spotted an almost stone pillar, he broke into a jog. When he reached it, he wished he hadn't went there so fast.
He felt tears spring into his eyes. He looked down at bundle of flowers in his hand.
"H-hey, Layne. I brought you some flowers. Happy birthday" he said, his voice shaky. A tear ran down his cheek and onto the grave as he leaned down to put the flowers on the grave. He let them fall as more tears fell down his cheeks. He sat down on the ground.
"Ya know, it's been about two years since we lost you, Layneie." He said, memories of his lost daughter filling his head. "Your twin sisters doing fine. She misses you a lot, you know" he said.
"You talking to her?" He heard Lomaidas voice from the house.
"Yeah" he called to her. Lomaida made her way to him.
"Is she..?" He said, but was cut off by her saying:
"Shelby's asleep." And he nodded in an, 'ok' gesture. She sat down next to him, and he put an arm around her shoulder.
"I wish we could've done more to save her…" Lomaida cried as she put her head on Xephos's chest. He felt his shirt getting slowly wet from her tears. He put his hand on her back, and started rubbing it gently.
"Me too, honey… me too…" he said, his own tears falling onto her owl hat. He pulled her into a tight hug, wrapping his arms around her. She put her arms around him also.
"I wonder how our lives would be if she hadn't gotten sick…" she wondered out loud.
"Yeah… we would probably be much more happier" Xephos said.
"Shelby probably won't remember Layne…" Lomaida said.
"No, she probably won't… we'll tell her about her sister. Don't worry" Xephos said, kissing her forehead. Lomaida felt a drop on her leg.
"I think it's starting to rain." She said, looking at the sky. Xephos smirked a bit.
"Weird… it rained on the day she died." He said.
"Yeah…" Lomaida said. The rain came down in a steady drizzle.
"Let's go in now." Xephos said, getting up. He was soon followed by his wife.
"Yeah, lets" she said. They both made their way to the house, where their other daughter awaited.
